Love Day 2011

I love when our kitchen looks like this. Paper hearts expressing our love for each other strewn about on our kitchen cabinets/doors. It makes me happy. And I hate to see them go. Then again, our most cherished Christmas cards from dear family and friends still hang on our wall, so I suppose these could linger a little longer! I'm just sad that I didn't get a picture of us actually doing this activity. You see, not long before we were ready to begin, a snow/wind storm began and left us without power for 2 1/2 hours! But that didn't stop us... we had 3 flashlights hanging from the chandelier to help us out. Sure wish I had a picture of that. We got the job done and have enjoyed reading them over and over.

Just a few...

We started out with a Valentine's Day breakfast of heart shaped pancakes with strawberry syrup, then off to class parties with LOTS of sugar and ended with dinner which consisted of heart shaped pizza, sliced strawberries and apples, salad with tomatoes (for a touch of red), "Love Potion" and -

delicious Tres Leches Cupcakes for dessert- Yum! I think I'm in love with this crew!

So there you go. The end to the sugar rush.

Happy Love Day to all!
