a bit of this and that

Now that the month of March is almost over and not one post from our life. But I promise, we've done 'stuff.' Mostly just that everyday stuff that families do. And we're doing it together -- and mostly without complaining and eye rolling! Just a glimpse into our month of March --

Our daddy had a birthday (shout Hooray!). The day began with his favorite breakfast, German Pancakes, and unwrapping his new traveling buddy, the Kindle (an electronic book).

For his birthday cake, we had his favorite Eclair Cake. Yum. Instead of poking 42 candles in his cake, we opted for the number 4 and 2 candles.

We could transpose this picture and make him turning only '24', but then that would make him 10 years old when Maren is born!

We hope you had a great birthday, Dad! We love you tons!

When Eli is not in motion, he loves to read. And especially with his buddy, Papa! We love when Grammy and Papa come to visit!

We got a trampoline for Christmas. The kids don't let a little snow and cold weather get in the way of jumping! Just can't wait for the ground to thaw so we can put it in the ground.

Millie was a trooper pulling Eli around on the sled in the backyard.

Alas, finally a sunny day in this crazy spring weather to enjoy a picnic with a friend! (I say 'crazy' because it is now snowing as I write!)

For St. Patrick's Day, Natalie thought she would be sneeky and catch a leprechaun by setting this trap! Needlesstosay, the leprechaun only ate some of the food trail and got away. Darn it!

But I'll have you know that we were all very festive and wore green the entire day... I just failed to take a picture of us!

So here's to the month of April and hoping that I can get my act together enough to document our life more faithfully.
