Summer is in full swing and this is just a taste of what we have been up to lately.
The last day of school on a Friday and off to Girls Camp the following Tuesday. Maren got to spend the week here in this beautiful valley. They had a wonderful time packed with a perfectly balanced of spiritual, fun and little sleep! (Photo courtesy of Maren - not bad huh?)
Don't they just look like they are having a great time?
Millie sure proved herself worthy of a future babysitter. She was so cute with Eli...setting up a storytime on the back patio, jumping on the trampoline together and even shared a snack.
My little helper.
Some family fun time together at the community splash pad/river. Davis and Dad went on a fishing trip, so the girls, Eli and I headed out to cool off.
This was perfect for Eli. This kind of "f-wimming" really is perfect for a 2 year old!
What an attentive big sister. Natalie just took Eli by the hand and played with him almost the entire time.
For our 'Family Fun Friday' (and before you think what a fun, creative mom I am, let me say that so far it has happened once), we decided on a trip to the Bean Museum, the BYU Bookstore and the Creamery for dinner and ice cream, of course!
Our relaxing, slower paced, getting-all-the-unfinished projects-done summer has been everything but that ... so far. Although we have enjoyed sport and girls camps, lessons, 3-day youth conference, and trying to implement some kind of daily chore routine, we have really enjoyed a little more time sleeping in, playing until dark (which makes the nighttime routine tricky when it doesn't get dark until 9 pm), not having to rush to school every morning and no homework. And we are looking forward to a few more adventures this summer! Hope you are all enjoying your summer break as well!
